The Illinois Rock & Roll Museum is seeking experienced music teachers to teach in the following areas: Piano, Vocal, Woodwinds, Sound and Light Engineering, and more. If you have teaching experience and a warm, engaging personality, we have students for you!We are seeking out-going, motivated, fun music teachers to work for the Illinois Rock & Roll Museum on Route 66. Applicants should have a degree in music or at least 5 years of teaching and/or performance experience with possible touring background.

Here's the Top 5 Reasons Why you should work with us:

  • 1 The Museum education program brings students to the instructors for one on one lessons, classroom lessons or remote lessons.
  • 2 You may choose the hours you are available to teach! We know you have a crazy schedule and we will work with you to pick days and times to teach that work best for YOU! We teach Mon, Tue, Wed, Thursday, Friday and Sat
  • 3 We’ll Fill Your Schedule! If you’re driving from house to house teaching, you are wasting a lot of teaching time because you’re driving! Instead, you could work at a professional location where we value teaching and music and YOUR time. We are growing FAST and we will fill your schedule! No one else is growing as quickly and steadily as we are!
  • 4 Get paid a steady paycheck! Even if your students don’t show up, we will STILL pay you. We know you have bills and you need to pay them. We want your paychecks to be as steady and consistent (and growing!) as possible!
  • 5 There aren’t enough quality music teachers in the world. We’re out to change that. The education department at the Illinois Rock & Roll Museum expects a lot out of our students. By having high standards, we’ll accomplish great and exciting things.
  • 6 We take care of advertising, billing and paying instructors!
