One of Chicago’s more popular country bands during the 1970s was Country Love featuring Rick Crenshaw, Donita Fay, John Crenshaw, Little Joe Chisler and Catfish John. The precursor to the Midnight Special band, Country Love not only played the Chicago club circuit, they also lent their talents as a back up band to many local singers interested in making demo tapes in the various area recording studios.
