Ed Holstein has always been a bartender disguised as a folksinger. An accomplished musician and songwriter (one of his originals- “Jazzman”, has been recorded by an impressive number of artists) he always seemed more comfortable tending the bar at Somebody Else’s Troubles, the club he helped manage. Listening to him onstage, sometimes rather than singing, you’d be happy just listening to him talk, shooting the breeze- like any good bartender would.
