Ed Holstein
Artist / Musician

Ed Holstein has always been a bartender disguised as a folksinger. An accomplished musician and songwriter (one of his originals- “Jazzman”, has been recorded by an impressive number of artists) he always seemed more comfortable tending the bar at Somebody Else’s Troubles, the club he helped manage. Listening to him onstage, sometimes rather than singing, you’d be happy just listening to him talk, shooting the breeze- like any good bartender would. Ed still plays the Chicago venues and teaches at the Old Town School of Folk Music. In this photo- is Ray Tate, Fleming Brown, Ed Holstein and Mike Mashkes.

The museum suffered damage as the result of a microburst in downtown Joliet. The building did sustain some damage however we are extremely grateful that no one was injured during this tragedy.

We are fortunate that Gigantar, our exhibit artifacts and the gift shop merchandise all escaped any damage.

We are temporarily closed to the public as we work with our contractors through the cleanup process.
Please stay tuned as we get back in the groove.
