Freewheel
Artist / Musician

Freewheel was the house band for many years at a Chicago inner city club called Mr. Kileys. Many players rotated through the band during their time there, although Chris Mitchell and Janice Horst were there from beginning to end. Other players, some of whom migrated over from the band Baraboo included Jerry Lee Davidson, Steve Levitt, Brian Barrett, Nick Sanabria, J B Smith, Ivan Strunin, Cary Donham, Curtis Moore, Mitch Alvarez, David Miller and Bill Taylor. Mick Scott and Tom Dundee were very active on the Chicago folk scene during the 1970s and worked quite frequently as a duo playing Chicago clubs and traveling across the country together. Each performed as a single however and they were both equally talented as a guitarist, singer and songwriter. Tom’s most famous tune was undoubtedly A Delicate Balance and Mick’s was Last One of the Night People, both wonderful songs. Both have unfortunately passed away, but their music certainly lives on.
